Wild Monarch is a solo project by Corinne H. dedicated to honoring natures sacred cycles. Originally from Los Angeles, California, Corinne has been an artisan for 10 years, with candle making being her main focus. She studied fragrance design in France where she now resides and embraces the slow lifestyle of the French culture. It is in the mindful practices of the European sustainability movements and the beauty of the natural world where Corinne was able to marry her love for artisanal crafts and nature to create Wild Monarch.
She creates her candles using an ancient method dating back to 5,000 years ago, called hand-dipping. The process involves dipping a cotton wick into beeswax over and over with each dip building wax onto the wick until the desired candle size is reached. This slow process serves as a connection to the old ways of our ancestors and a movement away from fast fashion and industrialization for Corinne who favors craftsmanship and attention to detail. As a way to give back to the bees who provide so much for us, she chose plantable wildflower seed paper to package her candles in, creating a zero-waste product while helping bees and pollinators.
